So I've read in varying websites that ps/2 mouse and keyboard have slightly better response time? Is this true, or is the difference between mech and usb negligible? I heard mech is slightly better because it does not have to give the computer instructions to say "hey im moving here" for example. Mech just goes straight to it. Sorry if my terminology and such is off, I'm still learning here.

Is there any other reason to really go ps/2 then? MOBOs still support them, but why?

Some keyboards only support n-key rollover (press every key at once with no problems) on ps/2.

And because they do not require the system to load keyboard usb drivers, This can be helpful when configuring a new system if the drivers are not running correctly, that and N key roll over are basically the only reasons why current motherboards
