Hi All,

I'm looking to push my Ryzen 1600 to 4+Ghz, while staying silent.  I'll be putting this in a Define R5 case most likely, so I think my route now is a 240 or 280mm rad on the front.

I was looking at the Be Quiet! SilentLoop 280 because I like their fans, but apparently they can't sell them in the US because of patent issues, and I don't feel like importing one for $200+.

I'd love a custom loop someday, but I have crazy kids that would break it.

What AIO options would you peeps recommend for my build? Bonus points for good build quality and expandability.

Expandability and quality get the alphacool eisbear (insert size here)  They use all copper components, come with quick disconnects for expanding and the pump can easily handle a much larger loop.

Comes in 120mm, 140mm, 240mm, 280mm, 360mm and 420mm

Want to custom loop?  Ask me more if you are curious

What fans / fan setup would you use with them for the best silent cooling?

Whats you case.

For the most quiet setup, You can water cool both your gpu and cpu with aios. The bigger the radiators the better, there should be the same amount of intake fans and outtake or 1 more intake fan. You make a custom fan curve for everything including pump and make it rise steadily. Now the bigger the radiators the better because then you could turn down the rpm of the fans. Many fans at low RPM is quieter than a couple fans at high rpm. All intakes should have dust filters and that will make it harder for the intake to pull in air which is why you might want an extra intake fan. The reason you would want a positive pressure is for dust resistance. Now I cant tell you the all time best setup because it really does depend on your hardware and situation but I hope i cleared it up at least a little bit.

Would also like to add that the ryzen stock cooler is pretty quiet default so the gpu will probably be one of the loudest things in the pc.

I've got an MSI 1070, and I hardly ever hear it. I only hear the stock Ryzen cooler right now xD

Great well then you might as well just get a 240/280/360 mm radiator and call it a day. You should keep in mind the stuff i said about dust and pressure

If all out quiet is your goal the best way to achieve it is with the most radiator surface. That way you can spin your fans slower ,and achieve the same cooling result. That limits you to 360's in AIO coolers like Fractals Kelvin S36 or Celsius S36 expandable AIO coolers. Of course you would have to take out the cage in front of the case to do this.
