  1. Hi All, I'm in the market for a new pair of cans to play games with. My second pair of HyperX Cloud Flights have bit the dust, for some reason the microphone stops working after about 18-20 months. I'm using a pair of Anker Soundcore Q20's as a stopgap, but the soundstage(?) is absolute crap- I can't hear footsteps or directionality until it's too late. This will be my absolute #1 requested feature. I'm not sure what I need for this though (open vs closed back, etc). The second feature I'm looking for is a mic that's halfway good. I've been listening to microphone sampl
  2. Just realized I had more horsepower sitting in the basement for folding, a dual Xeon just sitting there counting bits as a Unraid server with and attached DAS. It's a Dell Precision T5600 "workstation" setup with the carcass of an old PC as the DAS. What video cards could I put in there to crank up the heat? The Dell has a single 8-pin PCI-E power cable to share (300W total for GPUs = 75W x16 slot + 75W x16 slot + 150W 8 pin cable), so I'm limited a bit. The DAS side also has 2 6-pin PCI-E power cables I could extend / tap into. I could go dual used 1060s, or mayb

They've got a single 8-pin PCI-E power cable to share (300W total for GPUs - 75W x16 slot + 75W x16 slot + 150W 8 pin cable), so I'm limited a bit. I could go dual used 1060s, or maybe a 5700xt? What's my best option for my constraints?
  5. Try it without the OC to see if it still occurs. If not, then check drivers for updates, and/or reset settings on f@h.
  6. Perhaps, I'm just running stock with no PBO right now. Temps are 72C CPU and 74 GPU, so not a ton of headroom for OC here
  7. I've been folding all night on the same hardware (3900X / 2080 super) with no problems. Maybe reinstall and/or restart?
  8. I found a 2080 Aorus Extreme for $560 at Microcenter, so I think I'm going to go that route for now. The 2080 Super is not worth the $100-$150 premium for ~5% better out of box speeds, and for now the Ti isn't worth the $500 extra for a ~15% improvement. I can use that towards the monitor or a 2180Ti next year
  9. Hey Y'all, I'm looking to upgrade my rig soon and need some recommendations on hardware. I play mostly PUBG with a mix of Ultra/Low settings, but the occasional 1% and 0.1% frametimes kill me sometimes. GTAV is also in the heavy rotation, and RDR2 probably too in the near future. I can see Ray Tracing Minecraft too. I'd like to move to all Ultra settings @1440 p with buttery smooth framerates if possible. I'm currently running a Ryzen 1600 @ 3.8 Ghz, and an MSI GeForce 1070 Gaming X with a +100Mhz Core / +500Mhz Memory OC. Monitor is a 1440p ultrawide, going to
  10. Leave both top ones empty, most of your airflow will be going from front to back, so trying to suck it out through the top just causes turbulence for the most part. The Le Grand Macho tower will act as a giant airflow straightener, so air will only want to go front to back. Doh, had just woken up and didn't read the whole thing before replying. I wouldn't use any top fans, and I would try to use it without a rear fan as well. The Le Grand Macho RT (LGMRT) does a pretty good job of straightening the airflow in the top part of the case, so top fans only gave me turbule
  11. I was only able to fit a 120mm fan in the top-rear position, but I could fit a 140 in the top front position. This wasn’t due to the cooler though, but the 8-pin CPU power cables Sticking out from the motherboard in the back. I did do some further testing to see if the top fans did anything for temps, but all I got was more noise. I ended up taking out the F-12 in the rear and didn’t see any temperature changes, but removing it dropped the noise 1dB further. If you end up going with this case and this cooler, just get some good quiet 140 mm fans for the front and lea
  12. On a gamble I ended up going with the Meshify C, but was able to get it to be extremly quiet. Thank you again for all your help and recommendations! It got me 80% of the way there.
