Best FM2+ upgrade?

Hi. I'm trying to upgrade my FM2+ CPU, as its lagging behind a little (just got a 1050 ti). I hear the A10-7870k is the FM2+ right now, but when I try and look for benchmarks and scores, they all incorporate the built in graphics, so its difficult to get an accurate measurement.

 

1. My current processor is an X4 845, is the 7870K a good upgrade? What about compared to a non-overclocked 860K?
2. My motherboard is an FM2A68M-DG3+, if I decided on an 860K, could I get a stable, light overclock? How about .3Ghz to match it to an 880K?

 

Any help greatly appreciated. (Still new to the forum.)

 

Edit: No real budget limitation, but I cant afford to buy a new MB for newer CPUs.
