Can I use Onboard to connect a GPU

just buy a dvi to hdmi adapter or a mini hdmi to regular hdmi. order them from amazon, or go to walmart, they have them there.

Specs:

i7 3770

evga 650ti

gigabyte z68 ultra durable 3

 

Is there any way to use the onboard graphics to output the display from the 650ti. The 650ti only has DVI and mini HDMI while my onboard has HDMI which is what I need to connect to my monitor.

if your motherboard has a hdmi in it may be possible. But why don't you get a cable mini hdmi to hdmi? those aren't that hard to find in the wildlife.

In theory yes, but that would require the mainboard to support this feature, which none do....

I understood the question as "using the mainboard i/o without any extra cables - no hdmi in" in which the answer would still be: no. And the most logical solution: Buy an adapter.
