Hello forum, hopefully you can help me decide on a new gfx card. I currently have a GTX 970 g1. While it has been a great card, it has started to show its age. It keeps getting harder and harder to get to 144fps for games. I have been deciding on a new (or used) gfx card to get and ended up with these options. I want to continue to play games at 1080p and 144hz.

  • Get another GTX 970 for sli
  • Get a used GTX 980 ti since they are pretty cheap
  • Bite the bullet and buy a GTX 1070 even with the price increase
  • Wait for the new GTX 20 series to come out (probably GTX 2070)

Thank you for anyone taking there time to respond.

Sell your 970, buy a 1050ti (it's like 10% slower) save them few extra dollarydoo's (100-150 CAD so 80-120 USD) and buy a 2070 card when they come out in 6 months. I;m guessing money is a concern so... Hell maybe that extra cash will be enough to let you get a 2080, sell that 1050ti when 2080 comes out and you will save like 200-250 USD.
