Heya all,

So I'm beginning at a new school soon and but I can't decide on a laptop to use.

I will have to use programs like Solidworks and CAD. i'm not expecting that it will be very intense but I still want a good systeem that if I have alot of parts it will run smoothly.

I know that I'll atleast need an I5 proccesor and 8GB ram to make it work smoothly, but i'm not sure yet if I need an Nvidia or AMD graphics card.

I was thinking somewhere along the lines of less than €1000. The theme I'm going for is as least "gamer" as possible, sleek, light but powerfull.(I know that wont work but i can still dream :P)
I've been looking at the HP Omen (I know its a gamer laptop but that is in my opinion still a nice laptop that doesn't SCREAM gamer... just says it), HP Spectre and HP Envy. (Alot of HP now that i think about it) the laptops in my mind have a nice look to them and seem to be good for a student. and as I see it a fair price. Although most don't have a dedicated Nvidia/AMD card. Of course i'll want a game or two on the laptop but I've built a PC that handles the big games so games are not really neccesary.

So all in all can I run Solidworks, Autocad and do coding on a I5/I7 laptop with 8GB RAM without a Nvidia/AMD graphics card?

P.S.  I don't live in America so I probably wont be able to get a particular laptop one might suggest, I can look for a laptop with equal(-ish) specs.

P.P.S. there is probably already someone with a similar question on the forum i just couldn't find it

If there is anything else that needs to be said I'll be happy to awnser.

Solidworks

AutoCAD. Simple ones yes. Solidworks it'll be a massive pain, but yes. If you use the most basic feature those are entirely CPU driven but any slightly advanced and it's gg without a gpu.

Try to find a laptop with a 1050. Dell 7567 price check in Eu?
