Hi first post here so bare with me, i'm currently running a 4690k (at stock speed) 8gb DDR3 RAM and i just splashed out on a 1080ti and i'm not sure where to go next?! I'm not sure whether I want to drop a ton of cash on a 7700k and what's entailed with that, new motherboard, new ram etc. Am I going to be okay to just overclock the 4690k and up the RAM to 16gb or am I going to so severely hindered that it's not worth it? Thanks in advance guys, by the way I game at 1440p but i'm looking to either go up to 4k or ultrawide 1440p 100hz+ eventually

th i5 will bottleneck it.. i would rather just get a i7 or amd equivalent if you can afford it and have happy game times :P

Have you tried to perform a sudden temporary interrupt of the electricity flow to your computational device followed by a re-initialization procedure of the central processing unit and associated components?

If you have proper cooling and motherboard chipset then just overclock your cpu and you should be good at 4k.

Yeah. The i5 should be fine at 4K, but for 1440p high refresh rate, you'll want an i7 7700K/6700K or Ryzen equivalent.
