Hello,

I recently built my first PC (parts listed below) and everything seemed to work. However now when I try to start my computer after it being off for several hours it doesn't always start. I hit the power button and the screen lights up like it is receiving a signal but nothing displays and the screen just stays black. The debug light on the motherboard is on the VGA light so I assume this is a gpu issue however I am not sure if it is for sure or not. To get the computer to turn on I have to hold down the power button until the computer shuts down then try to start up again. After 1 or 2 more tries the pc will usually start up and I have zero problems from then on. When I run games I get very good performance and all programs seem to run smooth. I never have this problem when restarting the pc but only when the pc has been off for more than 4-6 hours. Should I contact my gpu manufacturer or try to figure out another solution?

I have updated bios and have most recent drivers for everything but other than that I am not sure where to start.

tl;dr - New PC wont always start and I think its my gpu but not certain.

here is a generic fix. remove the button cell on button cell on the motherboard and put it back in to clear cmos. you can also try resetting bios settings. that is a  less risky method
