Hiya ! Soo I'm building a streaming rig, and decided to go with a Ryzen 7 1700 and Nvidia 1060 6Gb. But when I was you know, checking components for compatibility and stuff, I saw a video on youtube with the RX Vega, checked the launch date and seems like waiting might be worth the wile. I just need an extra opinion or two, if waiting is worth it or not.

PS: Pls keep in mind I am on a budget and exceeding the price point of the 1060 by a lot is not an option, thank you :3

Then wait for vega is probably pointless to you, but knowing your country and budget could help out, depending you might look for better offers on the second hand market, such as a GTX 980 or GTX 980ti, you're getting a very capable CPU but not pairing it with an equally strong GPU, it always is nice to balance your build as much as you can.

Sooo your saying, that i should buy a better gpu ? Or downgrade to a Ryzen 5 1600 ?

I need to know what you plan to do with the computer first so I can better advise... without knowing the user case there is no way to know if you need the CPU power or not, but if you'll just game then going R5 1600 on b350 makes better sense as you can save enough for a superior GPU which is what weights most on gaming.

But then again if you'll use CPU specific applications for work and such then it is a different story, it depends on your needs.

Btw I should've mentioned this, I'm gonna stream 720p 30fps, mostly stuff like CS:GO and Overwatch BUT I was going to also stream Battlefield 1 and GTA V, is a Ryzen 5 1600 going to be enough ?

Do people still stream GTA V at all? :P

Frankly I'm not sure, the 1700 is every one's game streaming favourite right now but a GTX 1060 is not the most powerful card ever, you will stream lower quality image... I don't stream so I would favour my gaming experience with the r51600 + GTX 1070/1080 no doubt but then it could get a bit stressed out on BF1....

It's up to you what's more important I suppose, you can leave it as it is.

The thing is, that you can upgrade a gpu by just changing, in case of the cpu its a bit mor complicated, and gta v is just an example of a cpu demanding game :)

i checked reviews and the PCI-e wireless expansion cards are SUPER bad like motherboards are way better, plus my desk is located at the other side of the house and i have no ethernet connections there... :/ BUT you reminded me of a friend that has an asus one soo I might get that and buy an MSI B350 motherboard :D ty
