so im building my first gaming/workstation computer,

and for my build i went for the gigabyte gtx 1050 ti g1 gaming edition,

i wanna be able to play games at a high fps count, and with high or even ultra settings,

so i decided to get the gigabyte aorus gtx 1060 6gb gddr5, but it's waaay over my budget,

so should i sacrifice my monitor that is 24 inch and 75Hz and that is 1920x1080 that i was gonna buy, and stick with my 1366x768 14 inch 60Hz monitor, and instead of that get the gtx 1060 that i listed above?

btw 2 monitors are kinda helpful for me because i stream/record, im basically a content creator

1060 link: http://en.ksp.co.il/?uin=41199&select=.35.&store=shipment

1050 ti link: http://en.ksp.co.il/?select=&list=1&sort=2&glist=0&uin=36424&txt_search=gtx+1050+ti&buy=&minprice=0&maxprice=0&intersect=..&rintersect=&store_real=

the monitor that idk if i should buy: https://www.ivory.co.il/catalog.php?id=17861

the cards you listed, they dont matter. other than zotac which i heard had short life fans i'd pick the cheapest non reference card. You could get a 1060 6GB for less if you pick a different brand. Even nvidia's site lists various prices from different vendors too.

keep the 1080p monitor.  Not only can you stream at 1080p nowadays for twitch and youtube but its a lot better than playing games at 1366 especially for the size of the monitor, it'd seem pixelated easily.

Just pick a different brand of the cards. Dont forget AMD equivalents too.

Well it would be a waste to use the 1060 for such a monitor, so I'd say stick with the 1050ti. It gives good performance per dollar, and would still be very good at 1080p gaming.

1050TI cant max out 1080p gaming. Some games are even stressful at 1080p for higher end GPUs. Try running watch dogs 2 at max settings at 1080p on a titan xp. Not only does the card itself use 5GB of vram which is more than the 1050 has but the titan only just achieves 60 fps.

u dont get it.. i cant get any gpu that is more than 1000 NIS, the 1050 ti is 890, so if i decide to like get the cheapest 1060 i would still have to sacrifice my monitor, unless i decide to downgrade from a r7 1700 to r5 1600x, but i need the 2 extra cores for streaming

Dont forget AMD equivalent. The rx 580 for instance.

What im saying is that all cards have different variants for the same model. So try looking and you could find the same card cheaper. Give google shopping a try too.

Those are worst case scenarios, but a 1050ti is a decent enough card to handle most things. But maxing out a lot of stuff will be nearly impossible in todays games, if you really want that. I'd say wait and safe up more so you can buy a 1060.

the thing is that i dont wanna order parts online, it just seems risky to me, so gonna have to buy it here from israel, and the rx 580 is 1390 NIS which is still more than 1000, so i would still have to sell my monitor

im the type of dude that doesnt have an income so i cant really save unless i work, and school is near, so i cant really work when there's school, and im working now so i can complete my build, so the income that im getting now is going to the cpu.. motherboard..psu.. etc..

Search online for local sellers too and check nvidia's website. Nvidia tends to list vendor pricing on their website too. Click on a GPU and look at the list of prices, they dont show the lowest price on the front page.

So google shopping and nvidia are sites you can use to find the cheapest 1060 6GB. Just make sure on google shopping that its a local site shipped locally.

i dont like getting parts shipped to, especially cuz there are ALOT of scammers, id rather buy them, its more expensive, but less risky, thx for your idea tho..

nvidia's website doesnt list scammers. Go look at their website for pricing and different vendors. Its how i got my titan xp at RRP and not the ridiculous prices everyone was selling it for.

is the Asus GTX 1060 Dual 3GB OC good/reliable? i never tried a 1060, so is it worth the upgrade?

link: http://en.ksp.co.il/?uin=34645&select=&store=shipment

i could buy that and i could get a cheaper 1920x1080 monitor and that way i will have both the monitor and the 1060

if you're gonna get a 1060 3GB might as well get a 1050 ti, performance not far off. the 1060 6GB is faster than the 1060 3GB as it has more cores unlocked.

1050ti is a decent budget card but wont do ultra 1080p. It is highly dependent on the games you play. You can also consider the AMD equivalents like the rx 480 and 580.
