So I have a custom computer that was my cousins, he said since he put new ram in it never would shutdown 100%, I have to manually press the power button to make it fully shutdown. I also reset my bios to optimized defaults and 1 of my CPU fans would not work hooked up to my fan controller, but works hooked up to the MOBO header. back to the shutdown issue, he says it could be CMOS or something, but I am afraid to mess with that because I do not have a full understanding of how to do the reset and such. any advice tips or morale support would be much appreciated!

CPU: I5-2550k

MOBO Asus P8Z77-V LX

RAM: Corsair Dominator Platinum 16gb 1866
