Threadripper 1950x AIO Question

So I have been looking around and read a bit and haven't found a for sure answer. I am looking at getting a 1950x but want to know what AIO coolers will work with it at launch. Hopefully some of you folk have the answers I need.

A bunch will work but the won't WORK if you know what I mean.  I suggest either getting the cheapest possible cooler and getting a TR specific later or getting a custom loop using byski's full cover waterblock.

I think you get an threadripper compatible asatek bracket for use with any asatek aio, but it doesn't cover that much of the IHS. There will be threadripper specific aio after a while just like @Damascus said

So would it just be best to wait for a proper TR4 AIO then? Sounds like it may be the best choice.

AFAIK there's only one TR4 AIO on the market right now

I'd like to disagree. It might be the first AIO designed for TR4, but not the only one that works for TR4...

Only one that I can guarantee works on TR4.

 

I have a strong suspicion that my Corsair H80 might work with a bit of modding (it's square, but it wouldn't cover the entire surface so it might not work at all)

@revsilverspine There is a list out there, with current AIO's which will work for TR4. They've tested them, and they are good enough. >>> me does not see any issues there. But I'm not sure about the extra performance/OC's you can get with those AIO's.

 

The vids I spammed from GN are informative. And they also said it's good enough to use TR4. I'd go with that, since it's a good/reputable source for information.

Don't see why you'd get a TR and use an AIO though. Custom loop ftw.

probably the box that amd sent to linus which had a cooler in it has a threadripper cooler (atleast compatible one)

I think I still have a watercooled i486 in the warehouse. Unless rust ate it away, it should still be working.
