Changing Hard Drives

So I want to build a new computer but I was wondering if I could reuse the only hard drive I have in my current one? I'm fine with formatting the hard drive but that and an SSD will be the only memory in my new computer (If I make it) and I was wondering if I format it, will I have to re buy windows and will it still work? Sorry if it's a dumb question, first time building a computer.

If your windows is retail, you don't need to buy another.  OEM, probably.

My hard drive is OEM too so do you think that would work?

Hard drives arent "locked" to any computer.  You can use it elsewhere.
