Hey so I am buying a 4k tv to use as a second monitor.  My primary monitor is also 4k.  If I was to only use my monitor to run games and I had my 2nd 4k monitor running a webpage or something in the background, will I get a lower fps when gaming? (GPU is gtx 970)

Not significantly. A few percent maybe.

Yes. That's because the GPU still has to push frames to the 4k TV. Just unplug, and you're good.

Want to know which mobo to get?

Spoiler

Choose whatever you need. Any more, you're wasting your money. Any less, and you don't get the features you need.

Only you know what you need to do with your computer, so nobody's really qualified to answer this question except for you.
