Hello, I am looking into getting a new monitor, I have 2 options...

http://bit.ly/2wBF6vJ
or
http://bit.ly/2eOZj95

Looking for a new monitor - I will be using it for gaming, video editing, and photo editing. Also some 3d modeling, typical browsing the web / watching videos and other creative work,

My question is, should I go with my first option as it is an IPS panel apposed to the others TN,
OR
Should I go with the second one because it is a 2ms response time apposed to the others 6ms.

I was sold on the 1st one until I saw the 6ms response time, will this cause ghosting?

If it helps here are my PC Specs:
Ryzen 5 1600x
RX 580 4gb
8gb Ram
120gb SSD, 3tb HDD
ASRock AB350 Pro4 AM4 ATX

Sorry this is a lot to read, but It is really bugging me, Thanks!

If there is something i am missing about one of these monitors that is key please let me know!

Edit: I forgot to add, I will be purchasing one and then later around christmas getting another one in the same model for a dual monitor display.

Hi again, You say you are doing video and photo work so the IPS would really benefit you. Dont worry about the 6ms response time, Obviously its not great but unless you are wanting to do some hardcore esports competitive gaming you wont even notice the difference. I am gaming on a 4ms IPS display and I nor any of my friends can see the difference between my 4ms and their 1ms and I absolutely love the IPS. Even if you weren't doing video or photo work, I would take the IPS display over the TN, But that is just me so make up your own mind. 6ms Isn't a whole lot in the grand scheme of things and I don't think you will notice any more ghosting even if you look for it unless you grab a slow mo camera.

My experience is reasonably limited however so some other people may have opposing opinions, Perhaps you should test out a few monitors at a games convention or if you have friends with a few range of monitors before you make your decision but personally, The decision is clear.

Hey again! Still trying to make my mind up lmao. I think I am sold on the 6ms one , its a hell of a price and I usually game on a 4 year old Insignia 42 inch TV. Not sure what the response time is on that but I am sure it isn't any better. Lets just hope!

Yea something that I should have pointed out that Grey to Grey response time isn't the only factor in monitors perceived smoothness or quickness or as a contributor for ghosting, Its not a completely useless metric but its by no means the be all and end all of monitor specifications.

The way manufacturers twist it and make their monitors seem to have the lowest response time and 1ms is massive compared to 4ms is just dumb. So yeah, it is still a metric that has some meaning but is only worth looking at if you go to a 3rd party and is measured using a proper standard.

Its not uncommon for older displays and TVs in particularly of having a response time around 20 - 30ms

Should i pay a premium and get this instead?
