Can I put a micro-atx Mobo (Ga b250-D3H) in my dell precision t3400 case with the built-in 500w power supply

But the PSU's they use in their pre-builts are just as bad as anybody else's. Especially since the precision t3400 is a pretty old PC, even if the PSU was decent it will have experienced some degradation over time.

 

I would urge you to buy a new PSU as well. With PSU's this old and of questionable quality there is a real risk of them killing other components when they fail.

The Dell might have a decent Delta unit but I'm not certain that it's going to have the correct connections for your motherboard.
