Blender Particals

SO i was wondering. is there a way to make object particals not take up so much system power??? thanks!

No offense, but what are you talking about.  The only particles that I usually put in my blender is about three large scoops of vanilla ice cream and some strawberrys.

Try reducing their density, other than that make sure the renderer is using all available resources (gpu and cpu). If that's still not enough, upgrade your hardware.

sorry i guess i worded it wrong.so the particles effects under hair. object setting. so like if i wanted feathers i would make a feather and put the effect onto my object. it just eats up so much cpu!

oh havent thought about changing the density!! i will try that.
