MOBO broken plug ins

I can't use any of the back plug ins like the HDMI, and audio and some of the usb.

Basically I can't use my mic, and my monitor.

Was wondering if there was a wire I could buy that could convert my hdmi monitor to USB?

HDMI to USB adapters don't exist as far as I'm aware. But if basically none of the I/O works, you may have a broken mobo..

Did you use HDMI from the GPU or from the motherboard? Do you know the PC posts and gets to windows even without a working monitor?

It would work?

Also the cpu is running and everything.

wait, you have a video card but use the iGPU anyways? That's a bit odd for anything other than multi displays off both. What does the back I/O look like? Is the IO shield blocking the ports or something?

Yours faithfully

That should be fine

I'm not criticizing you, I'm just skeptical you can be sure the CPU is ok based on the info you gave :|

you can buy a laptop dock which has display outputs, although they are expensive and it would be more convenient to just buy another GPU

I opened the side and cpu fan was on soooo...

Also I tried a different *HDMI* wire and now it blinks on and off then the monitor turns off. The check signal is also no longer there!

IO shield isn't blocking any of the ports.

I had a ton of hdmi wires at the time and all the DVI-D converters to HDMI were expensive so I just used my hdmi.

I think the mobo could be broken because the monitor blinks on and off or the monitor could be broken hope this isn't the case since I barely have enough money rip

How many monitors does you have? Any reason why the ports suddenly broke? I've never heard of a port breaking from nothing.

I just have one. I think it broke because I was moving things around could have twisted or something.

that is possible, if the displayport ports on the mobo (if it has any) or GPU support passive DP-HDMI ports try those, but some need an active converter and thus cost much more.

Would you have any suggestions on which ones to buy it'd suck to buy the wrong one I'm horrible with computers.

I wouldn't know other than looking at the DP port symbol, the ones that have the active part already built in have a different symbol, chances are it probably needs an active one but you could be lucky, does the GPU not have any HDMI ports?

if the port has this on it, then you can use a passive display port adapter

However if it only has this then you need an active converter.

Idk where it will be marked if marked at all I'm afraid.

that's a dual link DVI-D, not display port, what GPU do you have? If it only has those it is probably kinda old.
