Extending an Ethernet cable

Go to solution Solved by Lurick,

Just find an ethernet coupler, they shouldn't be more than $10

Plug already made cables into both sides and you're good to go.

First off I'm sorry if this is the wrong section, so with that out of the way let's get into it.

So I have a 50ft Cat6 cable running from my router to my room the problem is that it can't make it all the way across without having to be strait so I need to extend it.

Now I have a 6ft cat6 cable made from the same company, is there any way that I can just cut and strip the cables on the inside to extend it without having to do any crimping.

Thanks in advance and also I tried looking this up online and couldn't find what I was looking for.

Yep. I used one of those before to attack to 15 feet cables I had and worked just fine no issues.

Yea, these things work.  Used similar fitting to extend the length of a phone cable many, many, moons ago.
