HOW DO YOU UPDATE THE BIOS!

So i have this Gigabyte P35-DS3P motherboard that I am trying to update the BIOS to allow newer CPUs. This has been one of the most frustrating attempts ever. I have updated BIOSes of MSI and Dell motherboards which simply was either opening an exe file in Windows or putting the file into a thumbdrive and updating in the BIOS. The Qflash utility on this board however, requires a floppy drive!! I tried using the @BIOS utility but it did not work either, saying it only supports UEFI mobos. Can someone give me a detailed guide on the steps i need to do to update this board?
