CableMod compatibility with RMi/RMx

Hello everyone, I'm planning my new custom build that will use CableMod sleeved cables in white, my PSU will be a Corsair RM850i.

Now, on Amazon I found the complete cable kit and it says it's for AX/AXi/HXi/RM and visiting Cablemod's site I found out that they sell a specific RMi/RMx version of the same kit.

This specific kit isn't available on Amazon here in Italy, and I can't purchase it from the site either.

Is it necessary? Or the AX/AXi kit will work too? I'm really worried about PSU stuff since it could damage many components.

As an alternative I could buy a custom kit made by me on their configurator... But it would cost too much

That is not the right kit, it should have RMX in the name of the product and product description should say it support RMX. Im pretty sure those cable don't have caps at the end of the connector like RMX.

That's what I thought, even tho the RMx Cable Kit doesn't have any caps either

The cablemod should have caps, they move the cap down the cable to the middle of the cable.

Yeah upon closer inspection I saw the caps in the cables right after the connection. I really don't know what to do

Maybe go check other reseller, maybe even cablemod website

If the CableMod rep here doesnt get back to you, you can always get extensions if you dont mind those

Ok guys don't worry, I just made a custom configuration on CableMod site.

It's 10 Euros more expensive, that's it.

@ShadowzPower The RMi/RMx kits are different in regards to the 24-pin ATX, EPS, and PCI-E cables. We include the capacitors as per Corsair's Type 4 design to help with ripple suppression. Additionally, the 24-pin ATX is actually 28-pins for the RMi/RMx series.
The AXi/HXi/RM kits are for this PSU. (See attached image)
