RAM problems with MSI B350 Tomahawk

So recently I've bought my R5 1600 and MSI B350 Tomahawk and with that, I got a 16GB (8x2) RAM kit from Team T-Force (I will link the RAM at the end of the post). When I assembled the build and tried to boot up it didn't work, after searching on the internet I found out that R5 1600 with Tomahawk tends to have problems, but I managed to solve that issue, and now only one of my sticks of RAM is working. Any pieces of advice or did you have same or different problems?

Which slots did you use?

Running 2x4 sticks in slots 2 and 4 (counting from the socket) with no issues

I run it in slots 2 and 4 as well.

Check SPD values in CPU-Z to see if both modules have a valid SPD.  They should both show up even if only one is usable.  If not you may have a faulty memory module.  Try them one at a time in the same slot to see if both will post.

inb4 someone comes here bashing MSI, are you able to test the kit on another motherboard and another kit on your motherboard?

If you can, I'd return the ram and get something from the QVL

Can't check the Tomahawk's QVL list right now, but I suspect your kit isn't there.

 

AGESA 1006 (Bios 1.5, I think) should've fixed most compatibility issues

Read the reviews on Newegg, looks like some people had one of the sticks be DOA. Could also be your problem
