Microphone combiner thing??

Hey guys I haven't been on in a while but, 

 

I am working on doing a podcast and have been using one mic and am deciding to move to two, however I'm a bit confused on how to do that. I record useing my laptop but I am of the understanding that I need a sort of sound mixer for that but I'm confused as to exactly what.

Questions: 

 

Is this the right idea? 

 

If yes will it work or is it too cheap/bad quality 

 

What would you reccomend if no to any above.

use audacity and record / mix them both together? 

 

why do you want to use two mics? one for you and one for another person, or one for your left ear and one for your right ear?

use audacity, you can have it record both mics at once and you can mix them together too, or edit them in post.

Yeah, if you're unfamilar with all the headaches of audio equipment(and don't actively want to learn, just "get it done"), themctipers suggestion is solid. I wouldn't bother looking at mixers until you're 3-4 audio sources deep.
