DIFFERENT GRAPHICS CARD (not sli)

i try to play AND record with one pc in 4k.
i plan to use a 1080ti to play in 4k and a gtx 1060 to record in 4k 
my basic question is!
can i use both graphic cards in my pc without a problem system whise and heat whise. 
on 4k games the 1080ti gets hot like a oven i think around 75° 

i talked with ppl in the obs (recording software) chat and they said something about my cpu lanes...? and that it might work
i just want to get more information befor i try around stuff and waste my time or break something.
i am a amateur so i dont know the deep stuff but if you explain it in simple words i will understand, also my english isnt my native language, sry for my grammar.
cpu i7 6800k
32gb ram ddr4 2400mhz
gpu gtx1080ti (and gtx 1060)
msi 99 a sli+

i saw this post befor but sadly it doesnt give any good information about what i need to use to make this work. because i highly daubt i can just plug it in and ready to go.
