Hi everyone,

Last weeks im having problem with running the Witcher 3 on my intel core i5 7600K. It hits 90% / 100% usage most of the time when having post processing on low. Since the 7600K is a K model I am planning on overclocking. My cooler is a Cryorig h7 and my motherboard MSI. Z270 gaming pro carbon. My current temps are 60 Celsius under 100% load.

My question is: will overclocking reduce my CPU usage in the Witcher 3? If so, how much do you think?

What are good videos to know how to overclock? Any guides you think will help me out?

Any help is appreciated!

Thank in advance!!

CPU OC won't reduce CPU usage (you still have a GTX 1070 in there).
Post-processing is a "GPU thing" to do.

CPU : Core i7 6950X @ 4.26 GHz + Hydronaut + TRVX + 2x Delta 38mm PWM
MB : Gigabyte X99 SOC (BIOS F23c)
RAM : 4x Patriot Viper Steel 4000MHz CL16 @ 3042MHz CL12.12.12.24 CR2T @1.48V.
GPU : Titan Xp Collector's Edition (Empire)
M.2/HDD : Samsung SM961 256GB (NVMe/OS) + + 3x HGST Ultrastar 7K6000 6TB
DAC : Motu M4 + Audio Technica ATH-A900Z
PSU: Seasonic X-760 || CASE : Fractal Meshify 2 XL || OS : Win 10 Pro x64

What or which setting will help to reduce cpu usage?
