1. Budget & Location

budget is $2800 Aud
located in Australia

2. Aim

Will mainly be used for gaming and some very minor photo/video editing
games I'll be playing will consist of WoW, FFXIV, witcher 3, ghost recon:wildlands and BF1 (preferably on high/ultra settings for all if possible)

3. Monitors

I have a 1080p 144hz monitor at the moment which i will be using along side a 60 hz smaller monitor, but i do planning on making the upgrade to 1440p 144z monitor in the future (when funds become avaliable) maybe an ultra wide, not too sure

4. Peripherals

dont need any peripherals or an OS

5. Why are you upgrading?

I'm upgrading as my comp is coming on 3 years old now and I'm starting to run into random problems quite frequently
my main problem is my comp will randomly disconnect from the internet(i.e no webpages will load coming up with no connection to internet, and a message saying I'm offline from windows) while still keeping connections alive such as discord/being logged into wow, but as soon as i try to change channels or enter a load screen i get disconnected. I've trried googling to find some sort of fix but nothing seems to work.

for reference i have a d-link AC1900 modem and a Asus Z97 PRO (wifi a/c) mobo.

thanks in advance for and help given with my problem/build help given

Get that 1440p 144Hz monitor for the build! It has a great Black/White aesthetic, those fans can replace the h100i v2 fans for an amazing white RGB showing into the build and through the front panel.

Also warning, 1080 Ti in this build aren't from newegg so the price is distorted so you might want to look around

You will need an AM4 bracket from either Cryorig or the store if they stock them.

Are you sure your connection issues originate with your computer hardware? Have you tried a different router? Have you tried using an add-on network card instead of the on-board controller?

I honestly dont know, all other devices connected to my router dont have any issues staying connected.

Could it still be my router causing it if its only my desktop being disconnected?

It's possible. Do the other devices browse the internet? If so, do they use the same browser? You might check the DNS & gateway settings.
