1. Budget & Location

My budget is $3000 USD.

2. Aim

This will be mainly used for gaming. Mainly AAA titles but also other stuff. I literally play everything.

3. Monitors

I will be using the Acer Predator XB271HK for now with the intent of getting a second in the future.

4. Peripherals

Still debating if I need Windows 10 because I may or may not just use my old ssd. I will be listing a new os and ssd but like I stated I might just use my old one.

5. Why are you upgrading?

My current build is a couple years old and not that powerful so I'm wanting to upgrade to a beast of a pc. I'm just looking to get some opinions to see if I can adjust this build at all, I'm wondering if there's anything I could remove/downgrade because it's not really necessary or reallocate some of the budget cost to other aspects of the build.

32GB might be too much for gaming

Seagate Barracuda would be fine, Black is not needed for gaming

If you do not planning to SLI, I would get 650w PSU only, if you do SLI then 850w would be a better choice

Since you have an RGB mobo why not also get an RGB RAM like Trident Z RGB and an RGB Asus Strix 1080 Ti?

Rest is fine, keep as it is

32 GB RAM might be overkill for just gaming. Unless you plan to run 2 AAA games at the same time or something?

Maybe a higher capacity SSD. You can get cheaper 2 or 3TB HDDs.

The EVGA G3 is available for $10 less than the RMx, has better voltage regulation, and the same level of ripple suppression. The Seasonic Focus Gold is available for $20 less, and has better voltage regulation, but slightly worse ripple suppression. The Seasonic Prime Gold has a 12 year warranty, instead of 10 year on the others, but costs $4 more. Just other options, but the RMx is very good. Corsair also produces sleeved cables for it. Nothing wrong with it, per se.

You can get OEM keys for ~$30, or you can get a full Windows key, to make it easier if you have to reinstall it. Worth mentioning that Kaby Lake does not work on Windows 7.

Nothing wrong with the build, really

:)

Sir I have to shake your had. Congrats on being the first new member who posts a build that I would not change a thing on. (except personally I would get a 960 evo for a little but more because why not)

:D *handshake*
