Samsung Rapid Mode

Hello, I have seen a lot of things about samsung's rapid mode, and want to know if it is worth it. I have 16GB of ram and right now get 

At idol I do use a lot of ram, 45%, as I use a lot of google tabs and programs. Would it be worth to use rapid mode? Also, does it effect life span? I want this drive to last for a long time.

i've been using rapid mode for 2 years with 32 GB of ram. Still going at it strong (850 EVO 500gb)

It works as a caching system for the system so it's not a bad option, I have it enabled on all devices. Just note that it does potentially have some chance of increasing data loss if it was caching something critical and a power failure occurs, this however would be the same case if you had a HDD with SSD caching.

it uses quite some RAM and I could not see any actual benefit - tested it for 2-3 months
