So, as a couple of you know, I build gaming PCs as a hobby and a kind of a small (pretty small) side business. Now I managed to gather all the components for another build that will start this weekend and perhaps even finishing it by the end of it.

Now, regarding the components please understand that I use whatever I can buy for a decent price, so there might be bottlenecks but that's the components I have to work with. Reminder: I invest my own money buying them.

So let's get to the components part:

CPU: again the notorious i7-4790k (TBC-haven't had the time to take off the CPU cooler but I'm 99.99% sure that's the CPU)

Graphics card: EVGA GTX 980 SC ACX2.0 (will collect it this evening from the seller)

MOBO: TBC (will update once I get back home from work but I know for sure it's a Z97 one, not an enthusiast one but good enough to OC the CPU)

RAM: 16GB DDR3 1600MHZ (again can't remember the exact ones but will update soon)

CPU Cooler: RAIJINTEK Themis Direct Contact CPU Cooler

STORAGE: 1x128GB Sandisk Z400s (NEW) + 1x1TB WD Black

PSU: Corsair RM1000 (I know it's overkill but that's what I got atm)

CASE: Game Max Draco Black Rgb 4x 12cm RGB Fans Tempered Glass Side & Front Panel (NEW)

OTHER: if necessary will add up an ASUS PB279Q (27" 4k IPS 5ms)

Prices: I bought off eBay a PC with the ASUS monitor. The PC had the following: i7-4790k, 16GB DDR3 1600MHz, Z97 MOBO, Raijintek CPU cooler, GTX 960 2GB, FSP 600W PSU, 1x1TB Samsung 850 EVO SSD + 1x1TB WD Black HDD + 1x1TB WD Blue 2.5" HDD. So total cost of the PC + monitor was £415.

GPU I bought it separately (will collect tonight) for £140.

PSU I had it from another PC that I bought and replace it with an EVGA SuperNOVA 650 G1 that I bought off eBay for £45. So technically I paid £45 for the Corsair RM1000.

The case I bought it new off eBay for £74.

Will update soon the post with pictures as soon as I'll get home from work.

Short story: I've seen the ad for the PC on eBay and the guy had the following description: "Asus 4k HD 27"LCD monitor PB279Q plus i7-Quad Core Processor Computer tower @ 4.0 GHZ. 16GB RAM, 3 off individual internal Hard Drives, all at 1 TB each. NVDIA Geforce GTX 960 Graphics card". From my knowledge the only i7's that come stock with a 4.0GHz frequency are the i7-4790k and the 6700k so I knew that the PC has to be based on one of these CPUs. This paid off once I opened the PC and seen the Z97 mobo. And as a surprise for me that made my day: the seller said that it comes with "3 off individual internal Hard Drives, all at 1 TB each", and imagine me seeing the 1TB Samsung 850 EVO SSD :D:D :D.

CPU: Ryzen 7 2700x, Cooling: Corsair H100i Platinum AIO MOBO: Asus Strix B450 F GPU: Gigabyte GTX 1080 Founders Edition + Arctic Accelero Xtreme III RAM: 2x8GB ThermalTake ToughRAM White 3200MHz PSU: Corsair RM850x White Storage: 250GB Samsung 970 Evo NVMe CASE: Corsair 275r Airflow White OTHER: White and Orange Cable Extensions ---- MONITOR: Samsung LC32JG5 32" WQHD 1440p VA 144Hz

I know. Right? The PC was listed for auction but with the option to Buy it Now for £395 +£20 postage. At some point he messaged me through eBay and said:

"Dear Andrew,
Many thanks for your prompt response and I hope you get enjoyment out of your product. You probably released at the price I sold it for it was a real bargain. This did not bother me however as I wanted to sell it as soon as possible because I bought myself a new Apple computer." (it's a quoted message and yes I am aware that there are some errors in his message)

Would you mind linking me to the sellers page in a Dm? Well that is if he even has other listings. Even though I doubt that there will be another deal like that.

Don't think that there will be anytime soon a deal like that from this seller. I spend 75% of my work time on eBay and Gumtree. That's where I get these good deals.

Like for exemple:

P.S. The monitor was bought like 20 min ago :D

Well my summer is now going to be spent looking at Ebay in hopes of deals such as these. You have given me hope!

Nice of you that you got the summer off. I got 0%-10% chance to loose my job for doing this.

Anyway on a happier note, these are a couple of my bargains found on eBay:

P.S. For the first print showing RX480 for £220+£12 postage, check the quantity ;)
