Hey,

In a few weeks or less I plan on buying and putting together my first Gaming PC. While not strictly used for gaming that is  what I plan to spend most of my time using it for. While I have made a post asking for help in the past large amounts of time has passed between me posting and now and I have new wants and needs that the computer needs to fill that I'm not sure can be fulfilled with some builds I have seen.

1. Budget & Location

I don't have a set budget however I set the minimum that I would spend at $750 and then my max would be at around $1,750 but I would like to spend as much is needed to get it to meet my needs and possibly surpass them in order for the computer to last at minimum three years however the cheaper the better. Location is the United States and to add on their isn't a lot of stores in my area that actually specialize in computers and the few that do for some reason persuade against building a PC and have limited stock and variety.

2. Aim

The systems main use will be for gaming however I need it to be able to run the program Solid-works, Blender, Photoshop, and other various applications that struggle to run on my laptop. Games that I would like to be able to run preferably at max settings are games like Ark, Skyrim, GTA V and other large games.

3. Monitors

I plan on running one monitor to start then going up to one large one or two medium sized ones. The resolution I would like to be able to run is 4k however when I probably won't get a 4K monitor to start off with and more likely will want to get a 1440P monitor.

4. Peripherals

I will need to get a keyboard and a mouse as well as get Windows operating system however I don't need to get a copy of windows that has office and excel and such.

5. Why are you upgrading?

I am upgrading because the laptop I have currently caps off at 2.5ghz and runs programs that I currently run slowly and the cpu gets very hot. I've tried using a desktop computer but it made too much noise. I also want to upgrade to a desktop so I can get a cheaper laptop for school and still have something powerful to run games on and stuff.

Ok what is your budget? Also you may want to compromise on ark performance as it is really poorly coded and not optimized so it requires a really powerful pc to even run it at 1080p

I don't have a set budget for say but as I just added I would spend more than $750 for sure and preferably no more than $1,750 but that would be for everything.

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Wkz3pb here is what I was able to put together. It should be good for work oriented stuff as well as a beast of a gaming rig. The monitor is one of the more affordable 1440p monitors and even has a slightly higher refreshrate with 75hz which should make it smoother in games.

I pretty much had the same system built on PCPP but with Peripherals included and a hybrid 1080.

I would honestly just use whatever cheap keyboard and mouse they can find first and buy a nice keyboard and mouse down the road when they can afford it because of they want to play at 4k and have it last 3 years they kinda need a 1080ti.

How do you like this build? It should be capable of 4K gaming and serious production workloads.

The problem is that this is an nVidia product and scoring any nVidia product a "zero" is also highly predictive of the number of nVidia products the reviewer will receive for review in the future.

Only yours, you don't shitpost on the same level that we can, mainly because this thread is finally dead and should be locked.

I wasn't wrong. It's extremely rare that I am. I provided sources as well. Different devs can disagree. Further, we now have confirmed discrepancy from Twitter about he use of the pre-release 1080 driver in AMD's demo despite the release 1080 driver having been out a week prior.

You apparently haven't seen his responses to questions on YouTube. He is very condescending and aggressive in his comments with which there is little justification. He acts totally different in his videos. I don't necessarily care for this content style and there is nothing really unique about him or his channel. His endless dick jokes and toilet humor are annoying as well.

Looks good and has plenty of case space to upgrade and add more storage space.
