Does Linux support touch on the screen?

Im probably going to buy the HP spectre x360, which support touch on its screen. If I switch to Linux will I still be able to use touch?

According to this Reddit thread, which was the first result on Google, yes the touch screen works. Auto rotate and the microphone did not work 8 months ago though. Everything else appears to work fine and those two things might have been fixed since that post was made.
