Build looks good, very happy with my 1070 AMP Extreme so I dont see why you would pay more for the EVGA (If anything the cooler is less beefy on that).

Please quote our replys so we get a notification and can reply easily. Never cheap out on a PSU, or I will come to watch the fireworks.

Like @rn8686 said, the AMP! Extreme is a beats if a card. So is EVGA’s FTW series (I prefer EVGA), but I’d go with whichever matches your build best. You won’t be disappointed with either, that’s for sure.

Yeah they seem like very similar cards only thing that sticks out with the FTW2 is the rgb but if it means paying an extra £20 then I will pass

Edit: I think the zotac has rgb however the rgb on the FTW2 is on the side which is the part visible from Inside the case, no idea why companies put rgb around the fans because you will never see them.

If you like EVGA, just go with the regular FTW card.  The difference between FTW and FTW2 is minor at best, and cards shipped out now have the updated BIOS and thermal issues fixed.

Midnight Rig - CPU: i7-7700K / Cooler: Corsair h100i V2 / Motherboard: AsRock Z270 Taichi / RAM: G.Skill TridentZ 3200Mhz / GPU: EVGA GTX 1070 FTW2 / SSD: Crucial MX300 525GB / HDD: Seagate Barracuda 2TB 7200rpm / PSU: EVGA Supernova B2 750W

It wasn't thermal issues, it was faulty VRM components ;)

MOSFETs are designed to run with no problem at 120°, so it was well within spec

:)

At least those issues are resolved now, so any new regular FTW cards should be just as good.
