PCI(e) wireless adapter

Gaz3ll3

Hello everyone, so I am in search of a PCI(e) wireless adapter for my PC as there is the chance that I will be moving into an apartment by the end of the year. While yes I would get a powerline adapter I a. don't know how the wiring is in a building like an apartment and b. my roommate is also a PC gamer, so while having ethernet would be nice it's not end all be all as we would be pretty close to the router anyways.

So I am looking for a decent adapter at $60 or less. Though I seem to be running into issues in which there are adapter that say they are not compatible with windows 10 but are for 8-8.1 which are probably very similar.

The ones I am currently looking at are the:

TP-Link AC1300 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B016K0896K/_encoding=UTF8?coliid=I1AYYZ386S2Z8F&colid=37PPTW3TGH06A

I have an Asus one (can't remember exact model number.) Its based off an intel 8260ac Wifi card, so should be compatible with various versions of windows. I would recommend looking for what wifi chipset the card is based off and downloading the drivers from the chipset manufacturers website. That way you get the best compatibility with other versions of windows and the newest drivers.

Although I would recommend choosing a card with an external antenna, as that will get much better reception.

Sync RGB fans with motherboard RGB header.

EK Supremacy Evo

EVGA SuperNova 850 G2

Intel 540s 240GB, Intel 520 240GB + WD Black 500GB

Corsair Crystal Series 460x

Asus Strix Soar

Laptop:

Dell E6430s

I recently built my dad an office pic and used the asus option. After a quick driver update we have seen no issues and speeds have been great.
