I need help with my first PC build. I want this build to be a quite and clean red and black color scheme PC between 1k to 1.5k. For the specs, I am a 3D major, I want my PC can do some light to medium 3D rending and animations and can be upgraded in the future.

Here are some parts I picked for the build. It's about $1500, but it does not include a monitor. Plz, give some ideas on the parts!!

Case:

NZXT S340 Mid Tower Computer Case, Matte Black/Red

CPU:

Intel 7th Gen Intel Core Desktop Processor i7-7700K

GPU:

Gigabyte Geforce GTX 1060 G1 Gaming Gv-N1060G1GAMING-6Gd REV2 Graphics Cards

Memory:

Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 DRAM 2400MHz C16 Desktop Memory Kit - Red

Motherboard:

Gigabyte LGA1151 Intel Z170 ATX Motherboard ATX DDR4 NA Motherboard (GA-Z170X-Ultra Gaming)

SSD:

Samsung 850 PRO - 256GB - 2.5-Inch SATA III Internal SSD

CPU Cooler:

DeepCool Gamer Storm CPU Liquid Cooler (CAPTAIN 360 EX)

Power Supply:

Corsair RMi Series, RM750i, 750 Watt (750W), Fully Modular Power Supply, 80+ Gold Certified

ASUS Wi-Fi PCI Express Adapter

1. I want the best CPU and motherboard for this build and future upgrades. I pick i7 7700k for the CPU, but I don't know what is the best motherboard, I want the board support SLI (I want 4k workstation and fast 3D rendering speed in the future. For now 1080p is enough) and I want it to have at least 4 DDR4 ram slot.

2. GPU can be upgradeable, but I want to be able to play games(like GTA, DOOM, NierAutomata, Call of Duty etc.) on 1080p at ultra or high setting. I picked Gigabyte Geforce GTX 1060 G1 Gaming I don't know if this is a good choice or not.

3. For storages, want an SSD for windows and an HHD for games and flies storages. I pick Samsung 850 because it looks clean, but I don't have a choice for HHD yet.

4. CPU cooling, I choose the DeepCool Gamer Storm CPU Liquid Cooler with a 480mm radiator (CAPTAIN 360 EX). I like water cooling, it's quiet. The one I picked only cost $100 and it's red and black and it looks cool.

5. Memories I really don't know what to pick. I want 2x8 GB DDR4 ram sticks and need red or black color. But I really don't know what MHz is the best for Gaming and 3D works.

6. The power supply I pick Corsair RMi Series, RM750i, 750 Watt (750W), Fully Modular Power Supply, 80+ Gold Certified. I think it's an over kill, but I don't really want the power supply fan noise.(Can be a cheaper one for the budget)

7. I think the case is the only part I am sure about. NZXT S340 Mid Tower Computer Case, Matte Black/Red has a clean look with red and black color, it fits my build perfectly, and it's only $80

8. ASUS Wi-Fi PCI Express Adapter. I live on the 2nd floor, don't want to run cables to upstairs.

9. So, the missing part is a monitor, I don't know which monitor is good for this budget. I don't have any requirements for the monitor. like I said I will upgrade this PC to a 4K work station. But for now, I just want the monitor fits the schemes and looks clean.

So the case and CPU I don't really want to change, but other than these all parts can be changed because I don't know whats the best for the budget.

For production and rendering, Ryzen CPUs are WAYYYY better than the 7700k. Personally, i would get one of the Ryzen 7 cpus in your situation. Gaming perforamnce will slack slightly compared to the 7700k, but the workstation and production performance will be much better.

I just start on 3D and Animations, so I don't really need a PC build for 3D productions. Just need a beast gaming PC, also can work on some light 3D creation. Thanks for the reply though!

Here are some parts I picked for the build. It's about $1500, but it does not include a monitor. Plz, give some ideas on the parts!!

-The 7700k is the "best" option for the motherboard, there wont be a future upgrade from it.
Getting any Z270 motherboard will basically support SLI, just look for one with 4 RAM slots.

-The 1060 is a good choice, The RX 580's are also great with similar performance. Choose brand according to taste. (Asus/Gigabyte/MSI etc)

3. For storages, want an SSD for windows and an HHD for games and flies storages. I pick Samsung 850 because it looks clean, but I don't have a choice for HHD yet.
-I have the 850 Evo, works wonders. Highly recommended.
A simple WD Blue will do you just fine as an HDD, pick any size.

4. CPU cooling, I choose the DeepCool Gamer Storm CPU Liquid Cooler with a 480mm radiator (CAPTAIN 360 EX). I like water cooling, it's quiet. The one I picked only cost $100 and it's red and black and it looks cool.

-An AIO is necessarily more silent than an aircooler, and getting a triple/quad radiator for just the CPU is a bit overkill and you wont fit it in an S340.

Look up the Kraken x62 if you want an AIO that fits the S340 and looks good. Its performance is great.

5. Memories I really don't know what to pick. I want 2x8 GB DDR4 ram sticks and need red or black color. But I really don't know what MHz is the best for Gaming and 3D works.
-Basically get Corsair Vengeance Red LED RAM sticks, sounds about right.
3000Mhz and up imo, since your budget seems rather big.

6. The power supply I pick Corsair RMi Series, RM750i, 750 Watt (750W), Fully Modular Power Supply, 80+ Gold Certified. I think it's an over kill, but I don't really want the power supply fan noise.(Can be a cheaper one for the budget)
-Those are good, 750w is plenty so you'll be fine.

7. I think the case is the only part I am sure about. NZXT S340 Mid Tower Computer Case, Matte Black/Red has a clean look with red and black color, it fits my build perfectly, and it's only $80
- The S340 is a super popular case, but the normal one's panel scratches super easily and it is permanent. It will be wort going for the ELITE version of the S340.

8. ASUS Wi-Fi PCI Express Adapter. I live on the 2nd floor, don't want to run cables to upstairs.
-For optimal gaming performance you should ALWAYS run a cable. But if you can't just get an adapter.

9. So, the missing part is a monitor, I don't know which monitor is good for this budget. I don't have any requirements for the monitor. like I said I will upgrade this PC to a 4K work station. But for now, I just want the monitor fits the schemes and looks clean.
-Get an IPS 24" 1080p, not too expensive and upgrade to a 4K one later.

So the case and CPU I don't really want to change, but other than these all parts can be changed because I don't know whats the best for the budget.

Replied in bold.

I do recommend getting a Ryzen 7, as mentioned in your other post it still really kicks ass in gaming and you wont feel a difference since you're using either a 1060/RX580.

But if the 7700k is a must then go for it.

First of all, go with Ryzen. Modern games use more than 4 cores (excellent example is Prey 2017). The very good combo is Ryzen 7 1700 and Asus Prime X370-Pro with 16GB 2*8GB DDR4 3200MHz C16 Vengeance LPX (you will be able to run it at least at 2933). For GPU, i have 1060 too, its excellent for playing at ultra 1080P, maybe it will last next 2 yrs very powerful at 1080P. Dont get the gigabyte model, get Asus or MSI ones, gigabyte has bad cooling. For storage, 2TB WD Blue and 240GB SSD (you pick) should do the job. CPU cooler will be enough Corsair H100i or H115i, they have RGB lights and Corsair Link. For PSU, Corsair RM650X should be enough and is also ver, high quality (i use it to power 1060 and 65W Ryzen and fan never spins). NZXT S340 is pretty good, also check out Phanteks P400S (possibly TGE), for case fans get 2* Be Quiet Pure Wings 2 140mm PWM, they are quiet as hell and provide great airflow.

Don't buy Apple M1 computers with 8GB of RAM

You should definitely get Ryzen 7, but just a tip for forums in general: Don't use exclamation points or say "HELP" in your thread titles.  Usually it makes people not want to help.

Make sure to quote or tag me (@JoostinOnline) or I won't see your response!

Thank you, I really appreciate it. I didn't consider Ryzen just because I am not familiar with the Ryzen system, but I will think about it.
