Make png file smaller.

Go to solution Solved by dnf,

Ok, I solved the problem... Photoshop is somehow broken since the last update. Copying the image into affinity photo and exporting it there makes the file 976 kb. R.I.P Photoshop. Hope adobe fixes that soon.

Not sure if I'm posting in the right forum but....

Basically I have a 1280x720 thumbnail that I want for my YT video.

All my other thumbnail are also 1280x720, but for some reason this file is 14 mb and the max for YT is 2 mb.

Is there any way to make it 2 mb or less without losing too much quality?

Can you send me the file? I would like to have a look. It's weird that it is that large, even for a PNG.

I have literally UWUHD PNG wallpapers that are not even 5MB large.

I have a 100MP TIF file that's only ~560MB large

at 100MP JPG that's only ~8MB

Compression is great. I just wish it wouldn't be used to compensate for bad internet connections around the world...

easy, open file with photoshop and export it to save for web. When you are in the saving window choose PNG and put no copyright data. Check the change of size.

Best regards
