apu help

just just a small pc together with old parts i had laying around my house for my living room but it has one problem, I CANT PLAY ANY GAMES. it boots up and everything works but the apu doesn't seem to be using its 6 cores for graphics. ik its a bad apu but it has a hard time with The Escapist and cant run this war of mine. its a a8 7600 amd anyone have any ideas?

Have you run Windows update? APU drivers are often only offered by Microsoft, and only available through windows update. Also, how much ram does the system have in it? Some APUs can eat up 4, 6, or even more GB of system memory with the IGPU.

full system specs help. ie single channel/stick of ram bottlenecks igpu performance, dual channel doesn't, and then there's the amount of ram, and how much turnip you use

i thought it might of been the ram so i put in 8 

ill try the windows update ik the drivers are old

2 sticks of 1800 mz 4 gigs for ram

well, once you run updates if performance doesn't improve check ram and cpu usage while gaming

its fixed, idk what did it but its working. i updated windows, chipset and drivers and i got it working. thank you
