A long time. You cant count that in hours and theres no significant number. It can die at random times. You computer will die before your drive dies.

not true. I know someone with 4 dead drives in a fairly short period of tim

Average life span of a HD is 5 to 7 years. Though thats the average. HD can last 2 min or 10 years, no one can tell you a definite answer. Keep your data backed up and youll be good.
