You could (More to save a little than anything) but I'm not that hopeful for it  (Probably wont perform much better than a 1080) nor can you wait forever (New things will always come out).

I wouldn't considering your budget. Heck you could probably get a 1080 ti if you modify a few things.

Volta? You're suggesting to op to wait potentially over half a year?!?

Interested in computer architecture? Still in middle or high school? P.M. me!

I love computer hardware and feel free to ask me anything about that (or phones). I especially like SSDs. But please do not ask me anything about Networking, programming, command line stuff, or any relatively hard software stuff. I know next to nothing about that.

Vega might not be very good. if nVidia follows whats been going on recently with a ~20% performance bump per gen, why not?

Doubtful, Intel have always wanted to maintain a high margin (A lot of gamers are still buying their CPUs) and that would basically be admitting they have been ripping us off.

@rn8686 yeah was thinking about waiting because i could possibly get more performance for the money

You may, but as I said no point in waiting forever as new things will always come out.

Not 100% sure, but the 1080 didn't see a huge price bump due to mining?

Also, why not ryzen since streaming will be something "your brother" will be doing. (Gamers Nexus did a nice comparison) B350 mobo + 1700 for the same price of your current mobo+CPU...

Also, why 2tb wd BLACK edition? 512 gb SSD is enough for just gaming and streaming. And if you NEED that 2tb, why not get a seagate Barracuda for half the price and spend them currency items where it counts moar?
