i had my heart set on the 1070 but i don't really see prices going down all that much anytime really soon and i can get this 1060 6gb for under 300 right now

i was mostly just wondering if it's worth it to grab a 1600x for this card or if i should just stick with the 1600 like i had planned

(i wasn't sure if this belonged more here or in cpus so....let me know i guess for the future)

1060 6gb for 300 usd is a horrible option, that's about 50 - 60 more than it should.

Just go with a 1600 + 1070

yeah it's not ideal, it's like 280 with Rocket league thrown in, but 1070's are very hard to find at decent prices new rn too

I believe you're better off sticking with the R5 1600. The 1600X doesn't come with a cooler.

ok thanks for the input!

i'm not a big fan of buying secondhand personally, just because i don't know what's gone on with it, but i will keep the option open and keep looking (i missed the bid though unfortunately, though thanks for looking up a link at all i appreciate it)
