I bought a new 2TB external HDD which I want to put everything on. However, my fairly new Flash drive (about 2-3 months old) stops being recognized whenever I do anything. I have tried 2 different command prompts, compressing the files and emailing them, coping it to the computer itself, and error checking. I have all my work from the last few months on this drive. Help is appreciated.

I acts the same regardless. It is recognized at 1st and can see all the files on it but any time I try and access the files, move them or do anything it becomes unrecognized. It has stated a volume prb and I think something else

try opening your flash drive in linux. If it does the same thing, then the connector or the memory ilself is damaged.
