Ey

I need to reset my galaxy s6 to factory settings cuz it's acting up, but my lock button doesn't work (hardware problem). What I'm wondering is if resetting it like that will turn the phone off, as I would he unable to turn the phone off then? If anyone knows if it'll just reset and turn on automatically or if it shuts the phone on and I need to manually turn it on, I'd be super happy

if the power button doesnt work, then you might have to find an app to let you restart.. you can hold the big button on the front and volume down or up to enter bootloader or fastboot, but i think you make choices with the power button, so resetting it that way might be tricky..

i would advice you try to get the button fixed instead as you can very easily turn the phone off or it can run out of battery or crash and shutdown etc...

also check with XDA developers for more indepth help

Have you tried to perform a sudden temporary interrupt of the electricity flow to your computational device followed by a re-initialization procedure of the central processing unit and associated components?
