Thinking about a desktop replacement laptop.

So I have a gaming rig with a 7700k and a 1070. I have been working a new job now for a few month's and it requires me to travel a lot. So I was thinking about selling my rig and getting a laptop so I can take my games with me. So what laptops are out there that will be a fitting replacement for my current setup. Looking in the 2500 range and portability isn't a main concern. (I won't be taking it to meetings or anything like that. I want it for gaming in my hotel mostly.) I was looking at the alienware 17 r4 with the 1080 but I'm hearing mixed reviews. Any other suggestions?
