Question about my build

Hey guys,

 

I have some questions about my build I did 2-3 years ago. Until one month ago, my pc was running very smoothly and my framerates while gaming where pretty ok! But since one month ago I started laggin a lot, got framedrops, etc etc. The general speed of my pc dropped a lot in only one day. Do you guys have any idea what causes this? I cleaned all the components for dust and installed 2 extra fans but there is no improvement.

Reinstall GPU drivers making sure to remove them with DDU first and installing latest drivers 

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

What troubleshooting steps have you run through?

 

Does your GPU or CPU claim it's at 100% usage?

 

Did you check your GPU and CPU temps?

 

Did you try downloading a SMART data tool and checking your hard drive/SSD SMART data to make sure it's still working properly?

 

How much ram do you have and how much is in use at idle?

 

Did you check to make sure all the power cables (CPU 8-pin, Motherboard 24-pin, GPU 6/8 pin) cables are seated firmly and clicked in place?
