Password for Wind 10 Computer

Hi. A mate of mine has a small issue.

His message:

So I get home and as usual I go to log into my computer, but apparently my password is incorrect, and yes I've tried over and over getting it 100% correct, but it still says "Password incorrect"
Does anyone know anything or have a way to fix this?

 

If anyone has a way to fix this without doing a factory reset that would be great.

Is capslock or a different keyboard filter/setting on?

accidentally switched the account to the ms one? like authenticated on an app and didn't unhook change this to my default login.

 

He can try his MS Accounts password.

Could be his account got switched to his MIcrosoft account, happened to me as well. Try logging in with that.
