Is this a good deal? It was at Superstore (of all places). My mom said i couldnt get it because i have too many headphones (two working pairs and another one that works but the bass is so uncontrolled i can barely hear the vocals.) They are actually worse than Beats by a long shot. I wanted the HD201 for its more balanced sound because my HyperX Cloud is a tad heavy on bass and my Hesh 2 has a slight curve as well.

They're on amazon.ca right now for $50 so it definitely seems like a good price

Whats the curve and sound sig like?

Well, I was gonna add to my previous post that if you really want to break out of spending $20 - $60 on headphone after headphone and just get one set that's actually good, you might want to consider spending a little more ($100+).  The fact that most of the popular questions and answers on amazon are about how loud they are is a sign what demographic these are intended for.  Ie, not people who care about sound quality.

Ok, thanks thats really good to know! What do the HD 6xx and Hifiman 100 dollar sound like each? I would like a nicer pair that is flat or has a mid and treble emphasis because the Clouds are good for bass.

The HD 6xx are very well liked, they're basically just 650s built to cost a little less but afaik it doesn't affect the sound in any way, and the 650s are also very well liked.  Sennheiser is not known for having a treble emphasis though, in fact a bit of the opposite.

So how balanced are they? And what about the Hifimans

I haven't tried them personally, but you can get a good sense of the balance from the frequency response

Spoiler

Of course that doesn't tell you everything about the sound but it should at least tell you the bass/mids/treble balance.  I'd describe this as more or less flat, slightly reduced treble

Decent price for Canada, but they have nothing on your HyperX Clouds.

HD650's are arguably as good as it gets for mids with proper amping, though there's a definite tilt towards the lower midrange. HD600's are brighter. Just beware that good mids don't stand out the way good bass or good treble do; it's really something that grows on you as you realize what other headphones give up to sound impressive.

The Clouds (moreso the Hesh) have some bloat in the low end; perhaps you're really looking for something with a thinner sound?

Looking for neutrality alone isn't the proper way to approach audio, though. There's so much more to how something sounds than the frequency response; it's entirely possible to make headphones that sound both perfectly flat and awful.

Thanks, but from my listening the Hesh has less lows and more highs and mids than the Clouds. My current headphones kinda suck for altrock.

You're focusing too much on the most basic level of frequency response. The Cloud may have more bass, but the Hesh 2's reproduction is sloppy, with bad transients and an upper bass boost encroaching into recessed mids.
