weird otg controller behaviour

Hello community,

 

ich now have my new Axon 7 and I have successfully connected my usb otg controller trough an adapter. Then I wanted to play something with it and it worked apart from the controller opening the keyboard everytime I pressed one of the buttons A,B,X or Y so it seems that the android system prioritises its own inputs over in app inputs (drastic ds emulator). How can I change that, so that I can play for real ?

Never seen it, but it looks like it should work fine... I've used various controllers on my phone without issues. Stupid solution but plugging in a usb hub and a usb keyboard might keep android from triggering its on screen one

Sorry but I still want to use it on the go so not an option there
