(i don't) Need Help (SOLVED)

I tried to remove the display port cable from my monitor but the plastic broke off and i have no idea how i am going to remove this cable now

 

can somebody help plz....

How did it get stuck? And you could try with pliers, but it'll completely destroy the cable.

i tried removing it and the plastic broke off.. and btw i dont care about the cable that much it can get destroyed but im afraid it would damage the monitor

Just push in on the two little metal tabs, find something to press them with or it will hurt like a bitch(use something flat to go across both metal tabs.)  This happened to me a time or two.

 

You could even just put the plastic piece back on just to use the button on it. I've done that too.

There will be no way to remove it without destroying the connector. Try with plyers tough

i cant force remove it because there is a mechanism to lock the cable in and if i forcefully pull it out it will probably damage the monitor connector

With something thin you can try to press the macanisim. Give it a little drop of WD40 to lose it up

i just did its out

 

i put a knife on the 2 pins sticking out and pushed the knife a little bit onto them and they retracted back into the cable and whoalaaaaa

 

the thing got out

A lot of people use very cheaply made display port cables

I didn't say the cable was cheap, I said 'Cheaply made'.. It is sad there are so many out there that just fall apart even if you paid good money for them.
