Asus laptop problems

Its a 2.5" drive. The SATA configuration is set to Intel RST Premium and has a write speed of 427MB/s and read speed of 488MB/s.

then it seems your drives are working.. program loading times are dependent on the programs themselves... some will not load any faster even if you put it on a +6gb/s read speed nvme raid array.. (i know, i've tried)

as for the login issue.. i'm assuming you're running windows 10.. the easiest fix might just be to try doing a reset (remember to backup first) it should clear up any windows related issues and basically act as a clean install. alternatively, you can download microsoft media creator and install a totally clean windows 10 without any bloatware, it might even fix some issues with loading times if there are some bloatware hidden away hogging resources or something

also if it's brand new, it might just be running anti malware and indexing etc which can hog alot of resources, but this doesn't happen more than once per install in my experience

I bought an Asus K401UQ-FA075T and there are a few problems that i have been having recently. This does not happen all the time but it still does happen rather frequently.

Firstly, whenever I boot up the laptop, I click on the log screen to enter my password, there is nothing on my screen except my lock screen background. It doesn't even show the power options, my username, or the box to enter my password.

Secondly, sometimes when I power on my laptop and there is the Asus logo with the spinning wheel, the screen seems to lag and i can see the logo disappearing frame by frame. After that, the screen becomes blank and I cannot do anything but force it to shut down.

Lastly, the apps take as long as a 5400rpm HDD to start up even though this laptop has an SSD!

Please tell me what to do now. It annoys me when i have to keep forcing my laptop to shut off then turn it on again. The strange thing is, everything is fine after restarting it. Normally while using the laptop, it doesn't show any signs of lag under normal usage. This laptop is still under warranty. Please advice me on what to do.:|

run a disk benchmark to check your speeds, might be a faulty drive..
what are your sata settings in bios? is it a 2.5" or M.2 drive?

Have you tried to perform a sudden temporary interrupt of the electricity flow to your computational device followed by a re-initialization procedure of the central processing unit and associated components?
