CPU Folding Useless?

I just started folding again (see how my power bill goes as to if i continue or not) but i just did two WU with my FX-6300 @ 4.5GHz (down from 4.7GHz to keep temps down it's warm today) and i was only getting just over 200 points for each WU. My estimated ppd was crap, but i just started a core 17 WU on my 7870 and my ppd shot up to over 50,000. Is CPU Folding only viable with Linux and 4p systems?

If you complete more WUs (i think 10) you get more ppd from them

10 WU's is required for bonus points for finishing early, and also a passkey, but if you already have all that and you're getting nothing on your CPU then I would say you're better off not folding on it, especially compared to 50,000 on your GPU.
